After graduating in 2010, Carrie moved to Melbourne, Australia where she worked within the private sector for over 7 years gaining a wealth of musculoskeletal experience. She was involved with various sports teams at both an elite and amateur level in Rugby Union, VFL and AFL.
Over the years, Carrie developed a keen interest in the management of tendon pathologies, rehabilitative exercise programs and injury prevention strategies for successful return to sport.
In 2012, Carrie completed her Pilates Instructor training with Dance Medicine Australia. Since then she has utilised a combination of manual therapy, taping techniques, strength and conditioning and Clinical Pilates skills to ensure patients reach their full potential, providing them with an understanding of their body whether that be in rehabilitation from injury, regular day to day activity, pre/post natal or high performance sports.
Carrie has recently returned from Australia and looks forward settling into the Edinburgh way of life. As a keen runner she can often be found making her way up Arthurs seat on her days off or in the hot yoga studio stretching out.
