About me
I first became aware of Podiatry as an injured
younger athlete and was prescribed orthoses for
lower leg pain. The success of this treatment
sparked my interest in foot and lower leg pain. This
led me to initially undertake an honours degree in
Sport Rehabilitation and then further study as a
Podiatrist.

Dermot studied Podiatry at Queen Margaret University and qualified in 2010. Since then Dermot has worked in both the private and public sectors. He has gained a wide variety of experience working within various private practices, Kent Community Health NHS and NHS Lothian.Life outside work
I have a passion for long distance track and crosscountry running and have competed for
Corstorphine AC at national level.
My favourite thing
Travelling to race meetings on weekends and offroad or treadmill running, cycling and strength and
conditioning are how I like to spend my time most
evenings
