About me

Growing up I enjoyed playing sports and was happiest when keeping active which developed into an interest in how our bodies allow us to do this. I'm a big believer in the positive impact movement has on the health of our body and mind and the intimate connection between the two. I am passionate about encouraging people to find ways of moving that they love which doesn't feel like hard work or something to dread!I love being able to help people continue to do the things they enjoy, and live active, happy and healthy lives.

Expertise

Enya has experience working with various different injuries and conditions in a MSK setting such as sport related injuries to the ankle and knee, arthritis, shoulder injuries, neck and back pain. She will spend some time getting to know her patients and their goals so they can work together to figure out the best treatment that will suit the individual. Enya has an interest in helping people make changes and adaptations to their personal and work lives to help solve chronic neck and back pain. She combines her Physio knowledge with exercise rehab which can incorporate both Yoga and Pilates practice.

Experience

After finishing school Enya completed a Sports, Recreation and Exercise course where she learned massage skills and gained knowledge which she has continued to use within her hands on approach to Physiotherapy.

Enya graduated in 2020 and since then has worked worked as a support worker helping those with additional needs and trained to become a yoga teacher before starting work in a busy private musculoskeletal clinic in Perth. She joined Balanced in 2022 where she has been treating various MSK conditions, providing clinical massage and exercise based rehab including Pilates and Yoga.

Life outside work

In my free time I’ll probably be catching up with friends, heading out for a run or a cycle up in the hills or going out for a nice meal. I will be taking part in the Edinburgh half marathon this year in aid of It's Good 2 Give.

My favourite thing

I love going to see live music and dancing with friends or going for a beach walk on a stormy day watching the sea and listening to the waves
