About me

I have always been an energetic and active person and loves working in a team with like-minded people. I choose physiotherapy as it incorporated my interests in people, health and wellbeing. It is a privilege to be part of an ever-growing profession at such a pivotal time for health and fitness. I strongly believe in a holistic approach, ensuing that the client’s needs and goals are at the centre of the treatment.

Expertise

Grace’s interest and expertise are in senior fitness and rehabilitation, as well as treatment-specific massage. Grace offers physiotherapy assessments and treatment for senior clients looking to improve their balance and strength to maintain their independence. Grace uses her in-depth knowledge of anatomy to provide therapeutic massage that is tailored to individual needs. She uses several techniques including myofascial release and trigger point therapy to promote healing and reduce tension and pain.

Experience

Grace graduated as a physiotherapist in 2020. Whilst at university she qualified as a sports massage therapist and worked as a support worker for people with disabilities. Grace is qualified as a yoga teacher having completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training.

In the clinic, she offers 1 to 1 Functional Fitness assessments for over 65s, where she conducts a variety of tests that assess overall exercise ability, mobility, and strength to give clients a better understanding of their own fitness levels. She will then work with clients to create an exercise programme designed to improve and maintain their functional ability. She also delivers Functional Fitness group classes, helping clients work to improve their strength, mobility and balance, to help with everyday activities, as well as falls prevention.

Grace offers home visits for elderly clients who find it difficult to come into the clinic for treatment and rehabilitation.

As well as working in-clinic at Balanced, Grace also provides physiotherapy services at Cramond Residence through our partnership with the care home. Here, Grace works with the wider physio team to offer residents functional fitness classes and exercise rehabilitation to prevent falls, maintain mobility and independence.
