About me

I wanted to become a Physiotherapist from a young age after sustaining a few injuries of my own when playing AFL and seeing how much impact a Physiotherapist can have on the recovery process.

To me physiotherapy is more than treating an injury or a pain that’s experienced. Helping people return to activity or improve their pain experience requires working as a team with the patient and multidisciplinary colleagues to treat all people who come as individuals who need their own unique management.

Expertise

Luke’s expertise lies in the diagnosis, treatment, management and rehabilitation of sporting injuries particularly injuries to the knees and shoulders. Luke however also enjoys treating neck and back pain.

Experience

Luke has worked as a Physiotherapist for 15 years. He trained and worked in Sydney, Australia before making his way over to Scotland in 2019. For the majority of Luke’s professional life he has worked in both private practice and elite sport as a senior physio at Edinburgh Rugby and Scottish Rugby.

Luke is passionate about his profession and prior to moving to the UK, was on the board of Physiotherapy in NSW, Australia. This involved advocacy for Physiotherapy in NSW as well as providing ongoing professional development to Physiotherapists.

Life outside work

My hobbies include travelling as much as my wallet allows, lifting weights to try to keep up with the rugby boys, Coffee and Beer in moderation and a bit of online gaming.

My favourite thing

My favourite thing to do, apart from spending time with my wife of course, is watching my AFL team the Essendon Bombers.
