Nicola McIntosh

Since working as a nursing assistant whilst I was a student, I have always had an interest in neuro and elderly rehabilitation. I love both the challenges and rewards that working in these areas can bring and that improvement can always be made!

Expertise

Nicola is a neurological and elderly rehabilitation physiotherapist with experience in treating a variety of conditions. These include MS, Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, MND, functional neurological disorder, falls and general reduced mobility.

Experience

Nicola has worked predominantly in care of the elderly and outpatient neurology settings within the NHS since qualifying in 2005. She left the NHS after having her 3rd child in 2015 and has work in private practice since then. She currently works with Balanced within Cramond Residence providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment to residents and also works with MND Scotland as part of their physiotherapy service.

Life outside work

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 sons, walking or cycling together. I also enjoy knitting, baking, playing the keyboard and the occasional run.
