About this Class
4 Weeks of HIIT Pilates Classes.
HIIT Pilates - 45min
This Pilates class is for those wanting a class of higher intensity to further challenge their cardiovascular fitness, while still improving their whole body strength. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) involves short bursts of maximum effort, usually at a faster pace, with short but regular recovery periods. This training is aimed to improve cardiovascular and muscular endurance, while also increasing calorific burn. This class is suitable for improver, intermediate and advanced clients. This class is not suitable for anyone suffering from dizziness, symptomatic low blood pressure, or atrial fibrillation due to expected higher heart rate zones and rapid movement.
About this Class Level
One of the Pilates Apparatus created by Joseph Pilates, used to add a host of new Pilates exercises, as well as new and different versions of Matwork exercises. The reformer gives us a whole new awareness of body alignment and movement, adding adjustable resistance to offer either support for exercises you are struggling with, or to increase the difficulty of acquired skills.
Beginner - this class is for anyone new to the studio equipment, the reformer is an excellent tool for rehabilitation as it offers support and guidance for the body during exercise. Here you will learn how to use the machine safely, and how to adjust the machine for various sets of exercises.
Intermediate - you must have participated in the beginner's reformer course to attend this class, or have previous experience through studio sessions. A basic understanding of the workings of the reformer will be advanced into more complex choreographies and exercises.
Advanced - a very challenging workout involving a selection of the most difficult exercises to master on the reformer, with a great demand on core strength, balance and skill. Guaranteed to improve your Classic Matwork abilities!
General Class Information
At Balanced we operate our Pilates classes in a unique way for your benefit. Classes are run in blocks for continuity and to ensure you progress. We do not offer drop in classes so your class is not disrupted by a client coming into Balanced who does not know what to do.
You are booking a block of classes with fixed dates however we have a CREDIT SYSTEM that allows you cancel and rebook your class online in advance. Credits for classes you cancel can only be used if there is a similar class with space available and must be used in the block you have paid for. Re-booking can only occur after week 1 of the block has completed (|this is to allow time for other clients to book into the main block). Credits for classes are only issued with 24hrs notice of a cancellation of your existing class. This is to ensure the space vacated can be offered to other people who are looking to book. There are no exceptions for this.
