How Balanced Running Assessments Works
Running Assessments at Balanced
With a significant majority of runners getting injured each year we will assess your running technique with an aim to transform any injury-prone joggers to skilled, injury-free runners.
Whether you are looking to run your first 5km or you are a seasoned marathon runner, we will advise you on the best ways to maintain an efficient and injury-free running career.
Your Running Assessment is in 5 parts…

We all run for different reasons. Whether that be preparing for our next event, improving our overall fitness or relieving the stress from a busy week. Overuse injuries are common and can often be avoided with the correct approach and advice.Video analysis:
A comprehensive look at your running form.Breakdown the different components of your running pattern to assess possible contributing factors to injury. Videos will be analysed in conjunction with the best evidence based practice to hone in on the key elements that will provide most benefits.
Strength & Conditioning:
So often we hear that the best way to become a better runner is to…. Run! Evidence suggests that combining your running training with strength and mobility work can reduce injury rate AND improve your times.Detailed joint and biomechanical assessment
We will look at areas to improve you in terms of flexibility, strength and control. Expect mobility drills, plyometrics and advice on strength training!Technique and approach to running:
