This approach reduces the requirement for follow up appointments and unexpected additional costs.Tinnitus Clinic for Adults and Children

Tinnitus

Tinnitus is the awareness of noises in the head and/or ears which have no external source. We offer a 'one stop' tinnitus appointment where we will fully assess your hearing, conduct a thorough history of your tinnitus onset and also its impact and provide you with an tailored treatment plan. If an underlying hearing loss is identified we may recommend hearing aids. This option will be thoroughly discussed with you and if you decide to purchase our devices another appointment will be arranged to fit them at your convenience.

Thorough medical and tinnitus history
Tinnitus impace questionnaires
Examination of the outer ear and ear drum (Otoscopy)

Dizzy Clinic

BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo) is a common form of dizziness arising from the inner ear. It occurs in people of all ages, however most cases are in those over the age of 40. BPPV causes short lived episodes of vertigo triggered by particular head movements.

The main symptom of BPPV is vertigo. The vertigo lasts a short time – typically just 10-20 seconds and usually no longer than a minute. It then goes away completely. The vertigo is usually provoked by a change in head position. Getting out of bed and rolling over in bed are two of the most common triggers. With each episode of vertigo you may feel sick (nausea). The nausea may last an hour or so even though the vertigo lasts just seconds.

Wax Removal

Microsuction is a safe and effective method of ear wax removal for those who find that the accumulation of wax in their ears has resulted in symptoms such as hearing loss or tinnitus.

Our trained Wax Removal Specialist uses surgical loupes to look directly into the ear canal and a very fine sterile suction device, rather than conventional syringing with water, to remove the wax without damaging the ear canal.
